This course looks at forty nine songs found in the book The Heart and Soul of Rock and Roll: The 1,001 Greatest Singles Ever Made by David Marsh. Using the theological loci of creation, fall, covenant,
christ, church, salvation and consummation, the course shows how these songs teach Christian theology. Gabriel Fackre's book The Christian Story provides the outline of the course using these loci. Only forty five singles are discussed. The emphasis here is on singles and not on albums. The forty-nine singles are basically five percent of the 1,001 singles analyzed in the book.

Chris Anderson is an inveterate reader and especially enjoys the works of C. S. Lewis. He has self-published a number of books dealing with theological subjects.
