ZOOM - Gerrymandering - Isn't There a Better Way?
Course | This program has been canceled
Article I, Section 2, Clause 1 of the US Constitution stipulates that the number of representatives for each state be determined by the enumeration of the US population. The Constitution is silent on what data is to be used for redistricting. Gerrymandering is a controversial practice intended to establish an unfair political advantage for a particular party or group by manipulating the boundaries of electoral districts. This class will examine gerrymandering and alternative solutions.
