We will explore the historic and present occurrences of earthquakes in the Keystone State. We will explain why they occur and what causes these seismic events in the state. We then will spend some time talking about the radon hazard-where it comes from, how to defend against this deadly gas and where it occurs in Pennsylvania.

 

Jeri Jones has been a geologist for forty-five years, studying the area’s geology. He worked for York County Parks for thirty-eight years and owns his own geologic educational and consulting firm. Jeri has authored a number of books and articles.
