You cannot not talk. Even sitting silently, you are speaking to others. Body signals and your voice form a totally different and complex language than words do. You have 7,000 unique facial expressions! Only four other species recognize their own faces. Is someone’s smile genuine? Don’t bother looking at their mouth. Why do we shake hands rather than bump posteriors? How close is too close? Be careful traveling overseas, thumbs-up does not always mean okay. What is to be believed when non-verbal signs contradict words? There’s lots to learn and plenty of fun to be had in this course.
