Traveling While Black is a 360-degree cinematic virtual reality experience that immerses viewers in the long history of restricted movement for Black American and the reaction of safe spaces in our communities. The film will transport viewers to the historic Green Book site - Ben's Chili Bowl and viewers will use virtual reality headsets to share an intimate series of moments with several of Ben's patrons, as they reflect on their personal experiences regarding race relations in the US. A discussion will follow facilitated by Human Development and Family Studies faculty and students.
