Welcome to beginning sign language. This course is an introduction to American Sign Language, including the manual alphabet, an introduction to deaf culture, and basic signs. Come join us using our hands to communicate.


Himmelberger is a retired teacher with a master’s degree in elementary and early childhood education. She taught at York City Schools and was an adjunct faculty member at York College. She taught early childhood education, college reading improvement, study skills classes, and forty years of sign language.
