OLLI members are invited to join Penn State York students taking HDFS 249: Adult Development as they learn about the processes affecting depression during adulthood. This intergenerational experience will give opportunities to learn from Dr. Amber Majeske about the science behind emotions, depression, loneliness, and the social-environmental context. In addition, OLLI attendees will get to talk in groups with college students to process the information. Between the two sessions, OLLI members will have the opportunity to watch A Man Called Otto with other OLLI members. On October 9, there will be time to integrate the material with the movie.

Amber J. Majeske has a dual Ph.D. from Purdue University. Her research focus in support and control in adult families extends to the effects that religion has on families. Her expertise is in religious doctrine, particularly of the Latter-Day Saint or Mormon faith.
