The pace of change on our increasingly crowded planet is accelerating. Climate change and weather extremes, constant wars and conflicts, the emergence of China, the nuclear aims of Iran and North Korea, and other serious problems confront global decision-makers daily. This course addresses the question: Is there a conceptual framework that can adequately address these changes, help grasp the evolutions and interrelationships, and enlighten thoughts and decisions through a specific, all-inclusive perspective? The hypothesis? The discipline of geography is this needed conceptual framework.
