Geology played a huge part in the continent's largest battle at Gettysburg. What rocks make the hills and higher elevations? What rocks occupy the valleys? Where is the best place on the Gettysburg Battlefield to trench? How tough of a walk was it for the Confederates at Pickett's Charge? What route did both the Union and Confederate troops take to get to Gettysburg? Finally, we will briefly discuss the monuments on the battlefield and other extras that you may not be aware of.
