The Dillsburg Earthquakes Swarm of 2008
Course | Registration opens 1/21/2025 8:00 AM EST
From October 2008 to April 2010, nearly 4,000 earthquakes occurred in the Dillsburg, York County, area and created excitement for residents and a working lab for geologists. A series of community meetings took place, several networks of seismographs were installed, and a great volunteer base was created to try to come up with a theory on the origin of these tremors. You will hear the information gathered and come up with your own theory before the instructor presents his favorite three theories.
