"Why did I buy this?"…. “Is that what I ordered?” How do ads convince us to buy things we don't need, or make us believe we’ll get items that look too good to be true? Look at the techniques behind the bluffs and the scams and learn how humor and poignancy increase our desire for products. Advertising is shaping not just our personal tastes but also our entire culture. This course is a fast-paced and eye-opening review of the skills advertisers use and how we can get our responses under control, saving our money and sanity.
