ZOOM - Lake Placid and the Olympic Winter Games

Course | Registration opens 1/21/2025 8:00 AM EST

“Lake Placid and the Olympic Winter Games” will bring participants on a journey through time, beginning with the ancient Olympics and ending with the Games in our modern era. We will learn about the 1932 & 1980 Winter Olympics and the community efforts that brought the world to the village of Lake Placid. Participants will leave with an inside view of how the Olympics operate and experience unique elements of art, design, and culture that define the Games each year. Lastly, a question-and-answer session with a museum staff member will allow participants to guide their own learning.
