Progress in Hindsight: The Journey of Women's Leadership (Repeat from Winter 2024, with changes)
Course | Registration opens 12/9/2024 8:00 AM EST
Explore the overlooked story of the idea of a female president and the long path women have traveled over five generations to reach today. By examining actions, archival speeches, letters, and media depictions of both trailblazing and everyday women since 1870, Jane Sutton highlights the deeper significance of historical events, especially after the recent election. Drawing on the owl of Minerva metaphor, she invites reflection on how we make sense of the past. Participants will engage through questions and discussion at key points in the lecture.
