Here It Comes! The 2026 Celebration in Philadelphia of Our Nation’s 250th Birthday

Course | Registration opens 1/21/2025 8:00 AM EST

In 2026, the United States will celebrate its 250th year of independence. It will be a semi-quincentennial, focused in Philadelphia. Learn what is planned, starting in January 2026 with 52 weeks of firsts, a plethora of special exhibits as well as a new wall mural commemorating American democracy, not to speak of events the Founding Fathers could not have fathomed, including World Cup games and the baseball All-Star Game. While our focus is on 2026, we may turn some attention to comparing this event with the large scale 1876 Centennial Celebration in Philadelphia.
