Library of Congress Bus Trip
Trip: Congress DC 3-6-25 | Registration opens 1/21/2025 8:00 AM EST
We will be visiting The Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress on Capitol Hill. This building is considered to be a masterpiece of Gilded Age architecture. There aren’t any guided tours of the museum, so you will be touring on your own. Museum employees are stationed all around the building and are available to answer questions. The ongoing exhibits are The Legacy of George & Ira Gershwin and a recreation of Thomas Jefferson’s immense collection of books. Prior to our tour date, we are recommending two YouTube postings that will maximize your experience, Library of Congress Full Tour/Capitol Hill (twenty-eight minutes) & Why You Must See The Library of Congress In Person (thirteen minutes). Lunch will be on your own in the cafeteria in the John Adams Building.
This is a three-sneaker tour with a substantial amount of walking, historic tour pace, not all areas accessible.
