I consider Stephen King one of the greatest American writers alive today.  Some readers have avoided his books as being horror novels; not so in my estimation. Please join me in reading and discussing "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" ( a short story of less than 100 pages).  I think you will discover his writing to be erudite and imaginative. This  book has been made into a popular movie.  An Olli member requested this book and I am happy to comply.
