Pediatric Medicine at the Dawn of the 20th Century

Course | Registration opens 8/4/2025 8:00 AM EDT

Join us for a journey back in time, to get a glimpse of how doctors practiced medicine more than a hundred years ago! We will explore the pages of a pediatric textbook written in Germany back in 1908. The textbook's collection of fascinating (and sometimes spine-tingling) photographs will give us some idea of the challenges doctors faced in attempting to care for their pediatric patients in an era before the advent of effective treatments, such as vaccines, antibiotics, and cancer therapies.
