Geology Walk: Nixon County Park

Join geologist Jeri Jones for a walk-through Nixon County Park. We will discuss the topography and geology and how that relates to the history in the area. This will be held rain or shine unless there is severe weather.
3 sneakers: substantial amount of walking- outdoor walking, historic tour pace, not all areas accessible.

Jeri Jones
Jeri Jones has been a geologist for forty-five years, studying the area’s geology. He worked for York County Parks for thirty-eight years and owns his own geologic educational and consulting firm. Jeri has authored several books and articles.
