I consider Stephen King one of the greatest American writers living today.  Some readers have avoided his books as being horror novels ; not so in my opinion.  Please join me in reading and discussing " The Green Mile" , which King originally published as a serial novel in the manner of Charles Dickens.  I think you will discover his writing to be erudite and imaginative. This book has been made into a popular movie.  An Olli member requested this book and I am happy to comply.
