This course will explore lessons from an end-of-life death doula. Death and dying is usually a taboo subject to discuss but not in this course! Erin Nelson, licensed social worker and trained end of life death doula will help you discover what an end-of-life death doula does to support individuals and their families. Objectives include understanding end-of-life, the importance of hospice services, and how one can have a peaceful end of life journey.
Erin Nelson
Erin Nelson is the Director of Memory Support at Cross Keys Village the Brethren Home Community. Erin is a Licensed Social Worker by trade. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Nursing Assistant, and a trained End of Life Death Doula. Erin has her master's and bachelor's degrees in social work from Millersville University and an associate's degree from York Technical Institute that is specialized in Public Safety and Security Administration. In her free time Erin enjoys spending time with her family, Diamond Art, and Zumba.
