A Brief Systematic Theology of Humor (Repeat from 2022 with changes)
Course | Registration opens 8/4/2025 8:00 AM EDT
Soren Kierkegaard stated "Humor (is) intrinsic to Christianity." Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, "Ultimate seriousness is not without a dose of humor." This one hour and thirty-minute course goes through the Systematic Narrative Theology of Creation, Fall, Covenant, Jesus Christ, Church, Salvation and Consummation. In so doing it shows how each of these theological loci contain humor. There will be a one-page handout that summarizes this and gives a brief bibliography on the subject.
