Italia: Una Bella Lingua E Cultura! (Italy: - A Beautiful Language and Culture)

Course | Registration opens 5/19/2025 8:00 AM EDT

Italia! Che bel paese! Italy! What a beautiful country! For thousands of years the "boot" in the Mediterranean has been a rich source of history and culture as promoted through language. This two-part course will be dedicated first, to the storied history of Italy as it relates to language and cultural uniqueness; and second, to the tremendously expressive Italian language of today. Overall the course will focus on the splendor of Italian language and its prominent role in culture: music, food, drink, customs, and more. Students will also learn a few handy expressions and gestures in Italiano. Both sessions of this class will be held on April 29 with a break for lunch. Course fee includes an additional $4 for pizza.
