Fire Safety in the Home

The City of York Department of Fire/Rescue Services comprises the largest full-time cadre of firefighters in the York metropolitan area, comprised of sixty-eight career personnel and one civilian employee, and forty-five volunteer firefighters and fire police. The department operates four fire stations, a headquarters building, and a storage building. This presentation will cover instruction on fire safety in the home, including the most common causes of fires and tips to reduce the risk of those, as well as the use of home fire extinguishers.
