Build a Better Bird House

Design, build, and welcome birds in Build a Better Birdhouse! Campers will learn about native species, make healthy bird treats, and design bird-friendly houses using recycled and found materials to be placed around the Beecher campus. Hands-on crafting, painting, and habitat discussion combine with installation day so students see their work in action. Perfect for young conservationists who love nature, crafting, and helping wildlife—bring curiosity and a sense of stewardship!
- Students entering grades 1-7
All students should bring a backpack containing a change of clothes, a water bottle, and a snack. For the safety of all students, snacks must be peanut-free.
Students staying for the full day should also bring a lunch and a second snack. Lunch does not need to be peanut-free. If your child has a food allergy, a safe space will be provided for them to eat.
Please note that we are unable to heat or reheat food items for students. This policy is consistent with our procedures during the academic school year.
