Suspension Suspense - Engineering Meets Art
SEP Week 2 | Available
Combine creativity and engineering in Suspension Suspense, a hands-on class where campers learn classic bridge-building techniques and design eye-catching structures. Students will explore principles of tension and compression, sketch artistic bridge concepts, then build and test models to see which holds the most weight. Emphasis is on safe tool use, iteration, and aesthetic design—perfect for builders who love math, art, and a little friendly structural suspense!
- Students entering grade 1 through grade 7
All students should bring a backpack containing a change of clothes, a water bottle, and a snack. For the safety of all students, snacks must be peanut-free.
Students staying for the full day should also bring a lunch and a second snack. Lunch does not need to be peanut-free. If your child has a food allergy, a safe space will be provided for them to eat.
Please note that we are unable to heat or reheat food items for students. This policy is consistent with our procedures during the academic school year.
