Broaden your understanding of the concepts, and fundamentals of graphic novel creation. In this class you will delve into character design, inking and coloring your illustrations, constructing a thumbnail and translating it into a full page, and more. You’ll explore figure drawing, perspective and storytelling in a fun and engaging way. The goal of your first six-week session is to complete an anthropomorphic version of one of the Four Seasons and put that character in a one page 4-5 panel comic. Instructor James Beihl opens each class with a demonstration of the topic of the day, and keeps students inspired with individual feedback on their work.
