This 10-week fun art course is filled with projects and activities that will boost kids’ critical thinking habits, improve their collaborative participation, grow their creativity, and develop their communication skills through art-making, all while having fun. Children will explore their own creativity through mixed media art classes which include model clay, painting, drawing, and more! Art projects will include acrylic painting, watercolor, pastels, paper crafts, drawing, clay, and more!

  • This class will be held at the Mid Island Y JCC located at:
  • 45 Manetto Hill Rd, Plainview, NY 11803
  • There will be no class on Mon 12/27.
  • All materials for this class will be provided.
  • Class will run with a minimum of 10 students.
Mihalatos, Christina

New York-based concept artist and fashion developer, Christina Mihalatos, has been honing her art and design skills in the fashion industry for the past several years. Originally an artist, Christina blended her artistic skills with her twenty years of fashion business experience, bringing about a perfect marriage of her two passions. Christina’s evolution into art education allowed her to introduce another element to this union and extend the range of her talent even further. Her use of authentic and eclectic skills allows Christina to challenge the boundaries of teaching - utilizing experience to tell stories, which explore the depths of her talent and expertise.
