Explore the fascinating world of metal kissed by fire! Pieces sculpted with precious clay metal resemle carved or casted jewelry without the painstaking processes involved. Creating jewelry with precious clay metal is fun and low stress and the results are beautiful. Students will design fine silver jewelry in this one day workshop using precious metal clay. Mencher, Marla

I joined the Art League staff in 2014 as a jewelry instructor and am very excited to be here. I am A Fine Jewelry Artist with over 35 years experience in the Jewelry Field. My expertise is in all phases of metal fabrication (sterling, gold, copper, non-ferrous) including fine piecework, intricate soldering, and complex designing with precious and semi-precious stones. I have owned an operated 2 Fine Jewelry stores and presently consult and fabricate for several stores including my private clientele. I am also involved in the fine arts as an art teacher of oil painting and pastel at several High Schools and show my work in many galleries, including the Art League. I love to teach and feel rewarded when my students produce their own unique jewelry pieces and finished artworks. My approach is through a step-by step-learning process, with practice exercises along the way . As a creative thinker, I am always looking for unique and different projects to stimulate my students’ growth, as well as my own.
