Come and join us for a perfect for a night out with your teen. A master of crafts, artist Amy Tischler, will walk us step-by-step through the art of knot making to create a beginner macrame wall hanging. Please bring a pair of sharp scissors and a small roll of painters tape. Price includes a 6" Dowel and 30 yards of macrame cord.

In my classes you'll get your hands dirty and make personalized gifts and handmade/ food-safe dinnerware for your home while advancing your skills in ceramics. I studied at Alfred University School of Art and Design, where I received my BFA in ceramics. I earned my Masters in Teaching at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). I developed those skills even further as a production potter in Manhattan.
I've been with the Art League of LI for 15+ years. I started out as a student taking the portfolio workshop, taught classes for the Summer Art Adventure in many different mediums, and now teach Ceramics. My work focuses on enhancing the ordinary, using smooth lines to imbue utilitarian objects with a new vibrancy.
