Graphic Novel Process and Techniques Workshop with Jay Stuart | Thursdays 3:30-6:30pm | 7/10-7/24 | Summer 2025
Workshops | Available
Are you are looking yo take your ideas, your characters you are always drawing and making fun art scenes of, and see them expand into an actual, tangible book or series of web comics? This class will guide you to take your idea and bring it into the next level with making concept art and story boards for your story to crafting quality art to use for your book. We will be going over drawing fundamentals such as shapes, figure drawing, perspective and use of color. Finally we will go over steps to bring this into self publishing and how to be you're own editor. This class will be leaning more towards traditional art techniques such as ink and watercolors (Markers are welcomed too!) rather than digital. Jay Stuart is a working artist from School of Visual Arts, manager of Blick Arts in Carle Place and self publisher of his own series of graphic novels with a new one set for release this fall. Class runs for 3 sessions.
