Understanding the human form and the importance of spatial concepts in drawing. Work from professional models, with a focus on making use of anatomical landmarks and forms to create more accurate representations in your work.
Materials:
1- Newsprint pad (suggest 18" x 24")
2- Drawing board for newsprint pad (optional)
3- Soft pencils, charcoal, or any preferred drawing materials
4- Eraser
5- Sharpener, knife, or sandpaper pad
Stu Yellin
Stu Yellin has taught Life Drawing, Film and Animation at both the Collegiate and Secondary level for over two decades. With an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts and an MA from Hofstra, he has worked as a professional animator and storyboard artist for Disney, Nickelodeon, Miramax, SNL, Cartoon Network, and many others.
