Painting with Oil Glazes –
Discover this step-by-step method of layering color to create rich, luminous illustrations. We’ll begin with pencil drawings on board or panel, then add diluted oil washes to establish shadows. From there, you’ll explore how to use color to define themes, while learning techniques to add and remove paint for highlights. Glazing will build tone, depth, and under-color, leading to the final artwork.
This class is designed for artists seeking a clear, systematic approach. It will be taught in parts to allow glazes to dry properly. Students may use fixative spray outside class.
