This online workshop covers the basics of block printing and making repeat patterns for designing fabric. The instructor will demonstrate step by step instructions how to design different patterns with block printing. During first session students will design and carve their block. During the second session students will print a piece of fabric or a T-shirt. We will be using lino cutting tools and soft cut print blocks. This course will also cover comparison of different fabrics suitable for block printing by hand. Students will print their own design with special fabric inks that are permanent and washable after drying.
Open to ages 14 and older.
