Learn to Turn a Simple Box

One of the most fun and varied items you can turn on a lathe is a lidded box. This workshop will teach students how to create a lidded box on a lathe. They make great gifts and are easy to create using basic turning skills. Beginners and turners with some experience will thoroughly enjoy the knowledge gained from this wonderful workshop.
Ages 16 and older.
- There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
- Members will have the $4 fee deducted from tuition.
- A materials fee of $17 is included in tuition.
** Class size is limited to 6 students**
**Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.

Boat builder, woodturner Don Metz operates Wood Z Way Studio in Southbury, CT. Studied at BCC with Keith Thompkins, Richard Raffan and Jim Degen. Studied folk art painting with Carol sue Roberts and at the Maritime Museum in Burlington, VT. Taught boatbuilding and epoxy casting technique at BCC. Member of the Nutmeg Woodturners League and the American Craft Council.
