In this class, students will work at the lathe to make their very own regulation baseball bat. They will learn how to measure the wood to turn it to a precise size, how to shape smooth curves, and how to finish the bat with shellac. Students will follow the plan in the instructor's book "Woodturning Patterns." Plus... they'll be making a slew of challenging but useful projects. A regulation baseball bat is just the beginning. They'll also make a bowl, and a vase, and a few surprises, too.

  • *There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
*Members will have the $4 deducted from tuition.
