Just in time for Mother’s Day.......Learn how to make stunning, unique jewelry from wood. Begin by turning a bracelet made from exotic tropical hardwoods. Complement it with a necklace of big beads (they’d make Iris Apfel jealous). Finish the ensemble by making an ebony brooch embellished with gilding. You might even have time to make a pair of earrings.
In this two-day class for novice woodturners, you’ll learn the basics of shaping the wood on the lathe, how to make multiple identical objects, and a range of finishing techniques. You’ll come away with new skills and some one-of-a-kind accessories for your wardrobe.

  • There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
