Cannarella, Laura
Laura Cannarella

Laura Cannarella is a crafter who has explored a variety of mediums. In 2014, she tried flameworking with borosilicate glass and was instantly fascinated by the nature and versatility of the medium. Before she started flameworking, she had a keen interest in drawing intricate, detailed, geometric forms. She transferred this skill and interest into glass by making implosions her main focus. (Examples of these can be seen in her mandala pieces.)

She became professionally involved in the glass community in January 2021 when she began teaching lessons at the North Carolina Glass Center in Asheville, NC. This was a huge step forward for her. She moved back to her home state of CT and began teaching flameworking classes at the Brookfield Craft Center in October 2021.
