Winter Break Youth Mixed Media Crafting

Youth | Available

In this cozy, winter 2-hour workshop, students ages 8- 14 will be encouraged to create and experiment with mixed media through loaded artistic fun!

From pop culture references to trending crafting ideas, students are welcome to suggest themes and topics based on their interests for the projects planned for the workshop. Past projects have included everything from making short videos featuring students' original characters (OCs) to creating scrapbook collages of any theme! Other possible projects include learning how to draw a specific subject step-by-step as agreed upon by the class and making stencils to be used over and over for 2D designing!

Using paint*, pens, pastels and papers and more, Carla will instruct and guide students on proper techniques and skills in using various media to help bring ideas into creations!

  • There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.

Members will have the $4 fee deducted from the tuition.
There is a $7 studio materials fee included in the tuition.

Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of  2  registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.

Please note there are several steps to walk down to the River Room Studio.

LaFlamme, Carla
Carla LaFlamme

I am Carla LaFlamme, a 2-D artist at Western Connecticut State University. Currently studying Illustration and Studio Art, I'm passionate about exploring mixed media and the creative process of art journaling.

For me, art is a personal journey of discovery and expression. Whether I'm experimenting with colors, textures, or drawing sketches in my journal, each piece reflects a part of who I am.

Looking ahead, I'm eager to continue my artistic journey by pursuing a Master's degree upon graduation, further refining my skills and expanding my artistic horizons.
