Students will learn how to pierce metal, cut out an intricate image and create a matching backplate. You'll gain confidence and finesse with your saw as you create a beautiful, intricate design, enhanced by a colourful backplate. Begin class with best practices for piercing and sawing your piece, and follow along to cut and file an intricate, impressive front plate. Next, find out how to use liver of sulfur to create a colorfully patinated back plate to add visual interest.
- There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 deducted from tuition.
There is a $92.00 materials fee included in tuition.
This class is held in the Jewelry Studio which is beneath the Gallery.
There will be a set of steps to walk down.
Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of 3 registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.
