Epoxy Rim Turned Bowls

Bring your bowls to a new level!
Learn how to add a beautiful and colorful rim to your work using resins. You will also learn to save a nice bowl blank that cracked while drying.
Instructor will supply a rough turned bowl 6"- 8" in diameter for each student in the class.
Ages 18 and up. Students must have bowl turning experience.
There is a $4.00 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4.00 fee deducted from tuition.
There is a $42.00 materials fee included in tuition.
**Please note that this class at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of 2 registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.
** Safety Glasses must be worn and All Safety Guidelines followed **
SAFETY FIRST* Closed toed shoes, Fitted sleeves, Long hair tied back.
All Students are encouraged to bring a work apron or smock to each workshop.

Boat builder, woodturner Don Metz operates Wood Z Way Studio in Southbury, CT. Studied at BCC with Keith Thompkins, Richard Raffan and Jim Degen. Studied folk art painting with Carol sue Roberts and at the Maritime Museum in Burlington, VT. Taught boatbuilding and epoxy casting technique at BCC. Member of the Nutmeg Woodturners League and the American Craft Council.
