Adult | Available

In this beginners' rigid heddle weaving class, students will weave a small table runner. Students will pick out yarn colors for their piece, then learn how to warp a rigid heddle loom. Students will then weave a small table runner. We will cover the basics of creating handwoven cloth, and learn basic cloth finishing techniques. This class in intended for absolute beginners and/or those who feel they need a refresh on how to warp a loom.

Everyone will work on the same pattern and yarn will be provided and included in the tuition..

Students will need a rigid heddle loom with at least a 15” weaving width and either a 10 or 12 dent reed. If needed, looms will be available to rent for the weekend for $15
(less then normal because of the shorter time used.)

  • There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 fee deducted from the tuition.
A materials fee of $15 for fiber is included  in the tuition

Students may bring their own loom or rent one for $15 from the instructor with the option to purchase at the end of class.

**Please note there are several steps to walk down to the Fiber Studio**

**Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of 2 registrations for the class to run.
