Drawing From Observation
Summer Youth | Registration opens Saturday, March 1, 2025 12:00 AM
Drawing From Direct Observation From Life and Nature
This Drawing Class will focus on the importance of observing and having your subject directly In front of you. Students will appreciate how much they can learn and improve by simply taking the time to observe and enjoy their drawing subjects.
Pencil sketches, thumbnails of simple still lives will bring our images to life! Charcoal will also be explored and is a particularly fun and forgiving material that allows for a lot of experimentation.
Painting, drawing, sketching and simply putting ink on paper is soothing and therapeutic. At the end of the course, I want the students to have made a few pieces of art they enjoy and can share with loved ones.
Students will work in the studio and with easels in the patio area by the river.
Please come prepared with hats, sunscreen and water bottles
There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 deducted from tuition.
This class is held in the Jewelry Studio which is beneath the Gallery.
