The Dragonfly Pendant... Brought to you by the letter "S"! Sweat soldering, sawing, sanding, and stone setting! In this class you will learn the technique of sweat soldering, a skill that allows jewelry makers to join two pieces of metal with precision. Students will learn the skills of piercing and sawing, and how to master those skills. Sanding, filing, polishing and stone setting will be thoroughly discussed as well.
Basic soldering, sawing, and jewelry skills are required for this class.
There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 deducted from tuition.
There is a $127.00 materials fee included in tuition
This class is held in the Jewelry Studio which is beneath the Gallery.
There will be a set of steps to walk down.
Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of 2 registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.
Safety Glasses must be worn and All Safety Guidelines followed
SAFETY FIRST* Closed toed shoes, Fitted sleeves, Long hair tied back.
All Students are encouraged to bring a work apron or smock to each workshop
