Artman, Heather
Heather Artman

Hi, I’m Heather! I fell in love with pottery in 2015 when I took a class at a studio in Colchester
CT. I was looking for a hobby to try after work but I never expected it to lead me where I am
today. After about a year of classes, I decided to invest in a home studio and slowly started to
accumulate equipment and supplies. I continued to take classes at my local community college
and new studios after moving to new areas. I’ve always loved learning different techniques from
new people and I truly believe that pottery is a practice that is always changing with the potter.
Now, 9 years later, I have a fully functional home studio and it has truly become my passion to
create all types of ceramic work. I’ve had the opportunity over the years to teach the art to kids
and adults and have discovered that I love being able to inspire others to explore their artistic
side. I also enjoy selling my work at local markets and on Etsy. I have dabbled in sculpture and
hand building techniques but I’m most comfortable on the wheel.
Nothing brings me more peace than time spent creating and nothing brings me more joy than
sharing my knowledge and my creations with those around me.
