This Taste of Woodturning Workshop gives students a very basic overview of woodturning skills and the chance to
try their hand at a lathe and create a small bowl, vase or spindled candlestick holder.
There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 fee deducted from the tuition.
A materials fee of $12.00 is included in tuition.
**Safety Glasses must be worn and All Safety Guidelines followed **
**SAFETY FIRST* Closed toe shoes, Fitted sleeves, Long hair tied back
All Students are encouraged to bring a work apron or smock to each workshop
David Heim
David Heim is a former member of the board of directors of the American Association of Woodturners. He has been turning for 20 years and teaches regularly at the Brookfield Craft Center and other schools across Connecticut.
David is also the author of “Saws, Planes, and Scorps: Exceptional Woodworking Tools and Their Makers,” which The New York Times listed as a design book that's easy on the eyes.
