Tool Sharpening

Adult | Available

Nearly every newcomer in the woodshop asks the same questions: How often should I sharpen my tools? And what’s the best way to sharpen them?
This class will answer those questions. An open-studio session that follows the class will give you a chance for some important hands-on practice. You’ll learn how to sharpen woodturning tools, chisels, plane irons, and carving tools.

For the open studio, bring in some tools that need a little TLC and put your new-found knowledge to good use.

All Students are encouraged to bring a work apron or smock to each workshop

**A registration is required for the 1:00 - 3:00 Open Studio session**

  • There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.

Members will have the $4 fee deducted from the tuition.

**Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of 2 registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.
