Rigid Heddle Doubleweave Sampler

Adult | Available

In this weekend workshop weavers will learn how to dress the rigid heddle loom for doubleweave. They will each then weave a doubleweave sampler working their way through weaving two layers, tubular, double-width, double weave pick-up and how to create slits. This class is all about learning and going through the process rather than weaving a completed project.

Students should be comfortable dressing their rigid looms for basic plain weave.

Yarn is included in the tuition.

**Students should be familiar with warping and weaving on a rigid heddle loom. **

This is not a class intended for beginners.

Students need to bring their own rigid heddle looms to class

Each student will need two rigid heddle reeds of the same dent size

For instance, two 7.5 epi reeds, two 8 epi reeds or two 10 epi reeds.

Each student will also need two pick-up sticks and two shuttles.

Please reach out to the instructor in advance with questions.

  • There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 deducted from tuition.
There is a $22.00 materials fee included in tuition.

There will be a set of steps to walk down to the Fiber Studio.

Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held.
