Make (and donate) A Wig Stand
Adult | Registration closed 10/5/2025
Learn some useful woodturning techniques and do a good deed in the bargain. This class is devoted to making wig stands that cancer patients can use. (Chemotherapy and radiation are effective treatments, but they cause patients to lose their hair.) You’ll shape the three pieces for a stand, glue them together, and decorate them. All the stands made in the class will be donated to Ann’s Place, a nonprofit in Danbury that provides support for cancer patients.
The tuition covers the cost of the wood and finish, plus the Craft Center’s expenses.
There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 deducted from tuition.
There is a $25.00 materials fee included in tuition.
Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of 2 registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.
