Valentines Day Pressed Flower Art Notecard Workshop

This workshop features pressed botanical material. Workshop participants will create their own 5” x 7” notecard with a Valentine’s Day theme using this material. The notecard will be protected with lamination. A mailing envelope and plastic storage sleeve is provided. These notecards are also suitable for framing.
All materials will be supplied but students must bring their own pair of flat ended tweezers.
There is a $4 registration fee included in tuition.
Members will have the $4 deducted from tuition.

This class is held in the River Room which is beneath the Gallery.
There will be a set of steps to walk down.
Please note that classes at Brookfield Craft Center must meet a minimum number of 2 registrations for the class to run. Students will be notified within a week's notice whether their class will be held. If the class is canceled due to low enrollment, students may request to be transferred to another class or be refunded in full.
David Silver
David A. Silver is a professional landscaper and Master Gardener with over 40 years of experience in the design, installation and maintenance of gardens. He specializes in Japanese, perennial, vegetable, alpine and water gardens as well as pruning. He became interested in pressed flower art about 10 years ago after seeing an exhibition of pressed flower art at the Philadelphia Flower show. For many years, he just collected and pressed plant material but did not try to do much artwork with them. But he kept coming back to the idea of actually creating artwork with the pressed plant material and now likes to work at this art form every day. David is also a bonsai artist and origami enthusiast. He teaches a pruning course called “The Taming of the Shrub” and origami for EdAdvance in several locations. In addition he offers pressed flower programs for Brandywine in Litchfield. David’s YouTube Channel is Bop’s Garden.
