Glass Hearts and Flowers for Valentine's Day

Adult | Available

Handmade gifts make Valentine’s Day even more meaningful, and this colorful glass class is all about creating heartfelt pieces to share or keep. Participants will design and create a variety of Valentine-themed fused glass projects, such as hearts or flowers to hang in a window, a small hearts-and-flowers plate, a flowering plant stake, a pocket heart, or even a wearable pendant. With plenty of vibrant glass, multiple molds, and lots of creative options, no two projects will be the same. Along the way, students will learn the basics of glass fusing and firing while enjoying a relaxed, playful atmosphere focused on experimentation and creativity. After the second class, you'll leave with unique, handmade Valentine’s gifts full of color and love.

Your project will be available for pick up after being fired in the kiln starting February 2, 2026.

Linda Parsloe

Linda Conaway Parsloe is a multidisciplinary artist and entrepreneur whose career spans art direction for television and film, set design in the performing arts scenes of NYC and LA, as well as product, packaging, and web design. Drawing on a diverse background in drawing, painting, sculpting, and hands-on construction, she brings a unique, architectural perspective to her current passion: fused glass art.
As the owner and sole creator in her business, Linda approaches glass fusing as both a contemplative and dynamic art form. She meticulously designs her pieces by selecting and arranging sheet glass, then embraces the unpredictable transformations that occur during kiln firing. Inspired by nature, color, and her experiences in the arts, her work ranges from jewelry to wall art and tableware. The element of surprise in each finished piece keeps her creativity engaged, turning "happy accidents" into signature aspects of her art. For Linda, fused glass is both a controlled craft and an adventure in discovery—reflecting her vision, versatility, and joy in letting go to embrace the beauty of the unknown.
